Tonight, I was listening to Michael W. Smith in concert singing, “Worthy is the Lamb” on YouTube. This song reminded me of a time in my life when worship brought me through many things. At the same time, God had to deal with me spiritually with many things. All or nothing. “Half-steppin’” (which is still nothing) or fully delivered. If we love God, we must give Him our all. Serve Him with your all. Use the gifts He gave us to serve Him with our all. There is a song that Tasha Cobbs sings called “Gracefully Broken.” God will allow us to be broken for us to see that we cannot live life on our own. We cannot live life without God. The world is not always a kind place and God allows us the choice to follow Him or to go the way that seems right and pleasurable. He doesn’t want us to go in the wrong direction, where there are hurts, sadness, trouble and calamity without the strength to stand or have peace of mind. When we surrender to Him, our hearts are now open to His love for us. God opens His arms like in the story of the prodigal son, whose father welcomed his child back with open arms, loving his son with ultimate forgiveness. We are free in Christ. So when troubles come, we can stand on the rock that is higher than us to bring us through. God gives us peace knowing that He is walking through those storms with us, even protecting us when the burden should have been greater. God’s forgiveness is not like man’s because His love is omnipotent, abounding in grace that no man understands. Our lives will be changed. Our hearts will be changed. Though man may still condemn us in the sincerity of our repentance, God shows us His ultimate love. If we think of the woman caught in adultery and brought forward to be stoned, Jesus showed her grace, then told her to go and sin no more. In so many scriptures, we see the love, mercy and grace of God beyond what man will ever show. It changes us from the inside out. The love of God is our strength, our fortress, our waymaker, our deliverer. We give our all to God, surrender our all, not compromising to be like our friends or family because we want to fit in doing everything to go against what scripture directs, being carnally-minded, engulfing in the pleasures of this world instead of loving God and doing His will. But we must surrender all, allowing God to change and mold us into whom He has purposed us to be. Life is not easy, but with God, we have peace and the strength to live this life looking forward to our final one day destination with Him. It’s time to make a choice: All of God or nothing……
All of God or nothing…..
